JAMES T. JACKSON
Weekend Anchor/Reporter

James Jackson anchors on the weekends and reports on weekdays at WEAR-TV.

He joined the WEAR family in April of 2005 from WTXL-TV in Tallahassee, where he worked as a weekend anchor and reporter. Prior to that, he worked as an associate producer at WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio and as an intern at WBNS-TV, WLWT-TV and WCPO-TV.

James received his Bachelors degree in Communication from the University of Cincinnati in 1999 and received his Masters degree in Higher Education from Florida State University, with a minor in Broadcast Journalism from Florida A&M University in 2002.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, James is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and was selected as an Outstanding Young Man of America in 1998. In 2004, James was named Employee of the Month of September at WTXL-TV.

As funny as it sounds... in his spare time he likes sleeping, eating and talking to his family and friends. He also enjoys following basketball and football, especially his Ohio State Buckeyes!
