DAN THOMAS
General Assignment Reporter

Dan Thomas, originally from Oklahoma City, joined the Channel Three news team in March 2003. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he received his bachelors in Broadcast Journalism. The best part Dan finds about his job is knowing that everyday will be different.

"I wanted a career that is fast paced yet exercises my creative side. I love telling a good story and this career allows me to walk in the door, learn something new and tell a good story everyday. Plus I love nothing better than heart pounding breaking news where everything changes second by second."

We asked Dan who he looks to for inspiration or who are his role models, he said: "I have two: My father, He's always been a perfect example of how hard work and dedication pay off. And my Grandfather, who owned a small newspaper in Southwestern Oklahoma. He did everything from write the stories to setting the type on the printing press and fixing anything that went wrong. He did all this while being severely physically handicapped."

When Dan in not on the job he likes to work out, go to the beach, work on his 100-year-old home, spend time with his wife Sadie, and play with his rescued pound puppy Charlotte.
