FLORIDA - Now to the latest on a nurse who worked in a Bay County Boot Camp where a 14 year old boy collapsed and died.

Today... Channel Three News learned she has surrendered her license to practice in Florida.

Kristin Schmidt.. whose shown on this 2006 surveillance video, stood by as guards forced Martin Anderson to comply with their orders for more than 20 minutes.

Anderson died 12 hours after inhaling smelling salts administered by the guards.

Schmidt and the guards were aquitted of criminal wrongdoing.

But the Florida Department Of Health says the nurse engaged in unprofessional conduct and failed to meet the minimal standards of acceptable nursing practices.

Schmidt has agreed never to apply for a license in Florida again.Bootcamp Nurse Required To Surrender Nursing License
