Comment: Start withdrawing troops now. from Niceville, FL by Roger

Comment: Yes there need to be a Time for withdrawing Trrops and lets stop the War in Iraq wich bush should have never started and keep our troops safe.... from Navarre FL by Jason
Comment: It is in everyones best interest to get out of that contry as soon as possible. World events are such that we need to rest our troops and re-equip all units for what may well be war with Iran in the next Presidents tenure. Iraq wants us out, and it's their decision. To override that then really does make the US look like a tyrant and world bully. by Ken
Comment: Now that the price of oil is up to the amount that oil mongul's an the politicians wanted, yes bring the boys home, just like Vietname, it is war that will not be won. You cannont win a war that you have to fight under rules and the enemy has none. Let the military fight to win, keep politics where it belongs, inside the perimeters of D.C. from pensacola, fl by s
Comment: Yes. However it should be set by the commanders in the field and not advertised to our enemy like we usually do -so they can withdraw and wait us out. from Gulf Breeze, FL by Don
Comment: yes,and why do we have to have so many congressmen, senators going over on fact finding missions look at the money it cost's for them and there staff why not just pick up the phone and ask the general in charge. from pensa.fl. by billy
Comment: funny that this sort of comment would come from a guy who has never served in the military! first of all we should not even be in there and there should be a timeline for troop withdrawal! this indefinate occupation is not warranted and the iraqi people should start protecting their own people. just like the president said about the russian invasion of georgia earlier this week...this sort of act hostility of invasion of a foreign nation is not to be tolerated...? from p'cola by h
Comment: War is not like building a house...you only stop fighting when you win! from Milton, FL by Kim
Comment: Yes, but unlike most, I do not believe the timetable has expired. There should be a long range, orderly withdrawal of our troops (we all remember how the final day in S. Vietnam went). We do not need another withdrawal like that one went. On the other hand, we don't need to pull out and then find our assistance is needed again the day after tomorrow. It's a very difficult process, and it cannot be done on a political whim, nor a public opinion poll. from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom
Comment: most european countries have tried to maintain a strong presence in muslim countries across northern africa to afganistan, they have now involuntarily left the muslim countries. from pensacola by charles
Comment: The SURGE worked. Most of the media was against it.
It would be a mistake to tell the terrorists what we plan to do. from Bay Minette, AL by Carl
Comment: Why tell the enemy when you plan to quit...never let them see you sweat, don't show your hole card until the game is finished etc by Barney
Comment: I think it would be a mistake to set a time for withdrawal of our troops. All Al Qaeda and the other insurgents would do is wait till we are out and then move back in. from Cantonment, Fl by Rod
Comment: Absolutely NOT! We told the Koreans we would NOT cross the line - so, they planned and executed their attacks with impunity. We cannot ham string our Armed Forces commanders by dictating what, when and how to them and especially in public forum. Tell the enemy when you will do something is STUPID and threatens the very lives of our men and women in combat. What Idiot ever thought of this idea? "Hire me or Fire me but do not tell me HOW to do my job" thats why you hire the experts NOT the elected minions who, for the most part, think being elected automatically makes them skillful and knowledgable tacticians. IT DOES NOT.
NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!! from Pensacola by Jon
Comment: We should get out of IRAQ only when the Iraqi government wants us out but we should not telegraph the move to our enemies. We should also get out of Germany and Japan. We've been there longer and it's cost us much more money than being in Iraq and Afghanistan. from Cantonment, FL by Emmett
Comment: Yes i do believe that we should now make a time table to withdrawl all troops. I feel things are finally starting to settle down to where we can do just that,Its time to bring ALL our brave Men and Women home for good!! from baker by cherry
